Privacy boundary
Images are processed locally only. Slider and click captchas take over the page temporarily just when needed and release immediately afterwards; a failed recognition ends there and never falls back to the cloud.
Auto-check Cloudflare
When a site shows Cloudflare's “Verify you are human” checkbox, the extension can click it for you, saving you one click while you browse. It only works in the active tab you are looking at, only reacts to Cloudflare's official challenge frame, and only when the checkbox is visible and not covered. It clicks once per challenge, aiming for under a second after the box becomes clickable, and needs no local recognition runtime.
Passing is not guaranteed. It doesn't change the verification result or submit any form, and if Cloudflare switches to a different challenge, that one is still yours to handle. The click goes through the browser's debugging permission, so Chrome shows a debugging notice at the top, and the connection closes right after the click.
The CAPTCHA recognition module is off by default. Once it's on, Auto-check Cloudflare is on by default; you can turn it off on its own in the extension popup or settings, or add sites to the site blacklist. Whether a site asks again, and how often, is up to the site and Cloudflare (common causes include a proxy or VPN exit address, cleared or blocked cookies, privacy extensions and a wrong system clock); 77Fox can't change that.
Page translation

X CC subtitle translation
When watching talks, courses or presentations on X with CC subtitles, enable translation from the video's upper-right corner. Choose bilingual captions or translation only, and select a target language and translation engine. Captions follow seeking and fullscreen playback; turning translation off restores the original captions. The feature shares your page translation engines and caches translated captions. An existing CC subtitle track is required.
Local translation models
The 77Fox desktop app can run five translation models on your own PC. Page and selection translation (the extension calls them through your paired desktop app), screenshot translation and prompt translation can all use them. Text is processed on your PC and uses no 77Fox credits. The web console and Android app can't use local models.

Each model downloads separately from Settings → 77foxAI → Local AI in the desktop app, so install only the ones you need. M2M100 downloads from the ModelScope mirror in China by default, falls back to Hugging Face if that fails, and can be switched to Hugging Face directly; it also needs Python 3.10–3.13 on your PC, and 77Fox installs PyTorch and the other dependencies. Hy-MT2 and Index-Translate download from Hugging Face only, so they may fail on networks where Hugging Face is hard to reach.
Translation hardware is picked automatically by default, preferring the GPU: NVIDIA cards use CUDA, while AMD and Intel GPUs use Vulkan for Hy-MT2 and Index-Translate only. M2M100 accelerates on NVIDIA cards only and otherwise runs on the CPU, so with AMD or Intel graphics, pick Hy-MT2 or Index-Translate to use the GPU. A GPU error is reported as an error, with no quiet fallback to the CPU, and selection and screenshot translation show CPU or GPU next to the time taken. One model is loaded at a time and its memory is freed after 15 idle minutes; set your usual model to Keep loaded in the desktop app to have it loaded whenever 77Fox starts.
The extension relies on the desktop app to run local models. If the desktop app isn't running or isn't paired, the extension temporarily switches to the first source you can use, in this order: your own key, 77Fox Cloud, then the free channel, and tells you once. While that lasts, page text goes to that source, and 77Fox Cloud uses credits. If none of the three is available, the extension says the desktop app is offline. Once the desktop app is back, it switches back to the local model.

A user gesture is required before capture. Processing stays on-device through Web Audio; audio is never uploaded.
SMS and email forwarding
Collect work verification codes in a chosen mailbox. Forward SMS alone or include email codes, with the recipient mailbox excluded by default to prevent loops. Email sources forward codes only, never the entire body. SMS rules cover messages actually uploaded to 77Fox and do not change iPhone automation triggers.
